Responsibilities
- Responsible for ensuring a safe and enjoyable environment for members, guests and patients using the aquatics facility.
- Welcomes all users upon entering the aquatics area.
- Assists the aquatics manager in monitoring the pool environment to ensure that all local health codes are met.
- Monitors user activity within the aquatics area to ensure their safety.
- Upholds facility rules and regulations to maintain a safe and pleasing environment for all users.
- Facilitates appropriate member activities including lap swim, proper lane usage and spa usage.
- Maintains the facility and equipment including fitness equipment, surfaces, lane ropes and pump room equipment.
- Tests and appropriately adjusts all pool water chemistry.
- Attends all regularly scheduled staff meetings and participates in required training
Qualifications
Job Requirements:
- High School diploma or GED
- American Red Cross Lifeguard Training
- American Red Cross Community First Aid and Safety
- American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer or the equivalent certification
Preferred Experience:
- 12 months lifeguard experience
