With guidance from the Director and Deputy Director, develops strategic and supports operational efforts related to research, clinical advocacy, education, and engagement for the Military Health Institute (MHI). Provides operational oversight to include all financial and administrative functions. Manages the daily operations of the MHI in the areas of administrative and financial management. Executes marketing initiatives in support of the MHI mission. Works with Government Relations and the Office of Institutional Advancement to assist with advocacy for funding or other MHI focus areas. Represents the Director or Deputy Director as needed.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Master's Degree Required.

Ten (10) years of healthcare administration experience is required with at least five (5) of those being related to the Department of Defense and/or Veteran Affairs.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in the development of research support programs and collaborative activities for the MHI, adjusting and developing additional support as needed.
- Develops relationships with key stakeholders to establish formal partnering agreements (CRADAs, EPAs, MOUs, etc.) for the university and UT system.
- Oversees institute educational activities such as distinguished lecture series, military health interest groups, postdoctoral fellow program.
- Manages all facets and phases of MHI financial and administrative management.
- Manages and improves business and operations by ensuring continuity, integration of policies and procedures with the organization's mission and strategic plan.
- Identifies short-term and strategic goals and has oversight for the allocation of resources to meet priorities.
- Develops, plans, and directs special projects, which may include space renovations, space allocations, staffing, equipment purchases, long-range plans, leasing of off-campus space and services.
- Develops and delivers briefings and lectures in support of MHI presentations.
- Serves as liaison and/or participates in regulatory audits, site visits and/or internal reviews.
- Works and advocates with Government Relations, Office of Institutional Advancement, and marketing with an emphasis on funding and other MHI focus areas.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
