Job Description
Under general supervision, responsible for assisting and / or managing various areas within the Registrar's office. Provides professional, management and organizational support for a school within the admissions functions to include the accurate establishment and maintenance of the official academic records to ensure meeting federal, state, and institutional guidelines. Oversees technological resources for the Registrar's Office. Develop and maintain all web-based / online resources for the Office of the Registrar.
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and set standards of professionalism for designated area by providing high quality customer services not only to students and the general public, but also to divisional and university staff.
- Directly interfaces with faculty Program Directors, Department Chairs, Associate Deans and Deans on matters of academic program integrity, academic record integrity, compliance with federal and state requirements as well as regional, Regental, institutional and professional accreditation requirements.
- Oversees the integration of student record data as it relates to enrollment reporting (internal and external), start and end of term reporting and perform comprehensive data analysis by assisting with the completion of federal and state reports.
- Develops and implements systems to maintain student academic records by integrating systems across multiple platforms, such as, but not limited to, student registration systems; curriculum management and degree audit systems; catalog integration; learning management systems; while safeguarding the accuracy and preservation of academic credentials in accordance with university policy, accreditation standards and privacy laws.
- Oversees all facets of the daily operations of the organizational team, ensuring compliance with University, state and federal laws, policies, and regulations and interprets and enforces academic rules and regulations related to records and registration.
- Oversees the supervision of personnel, which includes work allocation, training, promotion, enforcement of internal procedures and controls, and problem resolution; evaluates performance and makes recommendations for personnel actions; motivates employees to achieve peak productivity and performance.
- Participates in development, implementation and maintenance of policies, objectives, short and long-range planning; develops and implements projects and programs to assist in accomplishment of established goals.
- Represents the organization at various professional, community and / or business meetings, committees and task forces; promotes existing and new programs and / or policies.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
