Job Description
Provides veterinary care and fulfills veterinarian responsibilities for the animal care program. Responsible for the well-being of all animals.
Responsibilities
- Provides high-quality animal care in accordance with all regulations.
- Oversees and ensures adherence to research protocols involving animals and procedures.
- Assists with providing clinical and surgical support for the entire animal program.
- Oversees facility standards for compliance to regulations affecting animal research.
- Develops / presents training programs and instructs staff in humane methods of animal maintenance and experimentation.
- Assists Director with implementation and execution of all program aspects concerning animal health and safety issues in cooperation with appropriate health and safety officials at the Institute.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.

Three (3) years experience is required; experience working in an AAALAC accredited academic facility is preferred.
