Job Description
Under general supervision, the OR Turnover tech supports and assists with the daily flow of OR activities and patient care by cleaning / disinfecting the operating room suites and related areas, transporting patients and equipment, stocking supplies, and performing other duties as assigned. Initiates and performs tasks according to established guidelines.
Responsibilities
Facilitate the efficient turnover of operating rooms between cases and preparation for the following case.
Support operative team with various requests while cases are in progress.
Participate as a productive member of the OR Assistant team.
Transport patients, trays, blood gases, specimens and equipment.
Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients.
Cleans and services areas in the department of surgical services and performs a variety of duties to maintain the Operating Room
Responsible for cleaning designated equipment in a neat, orderly and sanitary condition according to established procedures
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Must be able to lift and push heavy objects such as patients, supply and patient carts, beds, and equipment.
Must have knowledge of safe and proper handling of hazardous waste and other substances.
Must have knowledge regarding various positioning equipment.
Ability to communicate clearly and collaborate effectively to enhance patient care and facilitate daily operations.
Must be able to stand and walk for long hours and have the mobility and strength to move quickly, stoop, and / or bend repeatedly
Must have the ability to remain calm under stress
Additional Experience :
OR cleaning / disinfecting experience (Preferred)
Basic Life Supprt in 7 days from date of hire.

- Front-loaded Paid Time Off : 128 to 208 hours (16 to 26 days) of Paid Time Off based on years of service, given at the start of each fiscal year. PTO may be prorated in year one based on date of hire.
- Extended Illness Bank : 8 hours (1 day) accrued per month which can be used for illness or injury after one day of Paid Time Off is taken.
- Paid Family Leave : Up to 240 hours (6 weeks) to care for a spouse, child, or parent after 6 months of consecutive employment.
