Job Description
Under general supervision of an authorized user, position is responsible for the use of ionizing and non-ionizing radiation to generate fusion images for diagnostic and research purposes.
Responsibilities
- Performs PET and PET / CT scanner operation for data acquisition and reconstruction.
- Reviews and acquires patients medical history, explains routine procedures and addresses patient concerns.
- Responsible for patient safety including pre-screening for contraindications, aseptic injection technique, and radiation safety / regulations.
- Evaluates and prepares the patient before beginning a procedure; and is able to effectively monitor patient during procedure.
- Recognizes emergency patient conditions and initiates lifesaving first aid when appropriate.
- Assists with quality control and service management to ensure continuous improvements in quality Nuclear Medicine and PET / CT services.
- Coordinates effective scheduling of procedures by organizing Nuclear Medicine and PET / CT resources and coordinating with key stakeholders.
- May assist with supervising other technologists, students, and other personnel as required.
Qualifications
EDUCATION :
Expereince :
Two (2) years of experience in Nuclear Medicine, PET / CT and CT and / or SPECT / CT is required.
