Job Description
Supervises the day-to-day administrative and clinical area of assigned staff. Ensures established patient care, and operational / employee policies are upheld and maintained. Leads or mentors lower level team members.
Responsibilities
- Exercises supervisory controls for employees related to time and attendance and work assignments.
- Coaches, trains and evaluates staff, monitors compliance and spot checks staff performance.
- Ensures clinic staff is in compliance with state and federal guidelines.
- Assesses staffing needs, maintains masterwork schedule, and makes staffing recommendations to management.
- Maintains documentation of training and competency assessments of employees.
- Responsible for performance evaluations to include monthly and yearly reviews.
- May fill in to provide coverage for phlebotomists at varying locations as needed.
- Inventories supplies, equipment and requisitions as needed.
- Participates in committees and facilitates and / or conducts clinical staff meetings when needed.
- Provides customer service to both patients and providers.
- Provides in-service training and precepts Phlebotomists.
- Responsible for assisting in developing best practices in clinical work flows and process improvements.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
