GI Nurse Practitioner - Danny Jackson Health Center
Provides advanced nursing care to GI patients in a clinical setting at the Danny Jackson Health Center under the direction of a physician.
About the Job
As a GI Nurse Practitioner, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, conducting physical examinations, and implementing treatment plans. You will work closely with patients, families, and other clinicians to ensure the best possible outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct patient assessments and physical examinations
- Develop and implement treatment plans
- Order and interpret laboratory and diagnostic studies
- Make medical recommendations and referrals
- Provide patient education and health promotion
- Collaborate with patients, families, and other clinicians
Requirements
- Current Texas Licensure as a Registered Nurse
- Current Texas Licensure as an APRN-NP, and specialty certification as required by department
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certified
- Masters in Nursing as NP or Masters degree in Nursing with completion of a post-masters Nurse Practitioner Certification Program
Physical Requirements
Exerts up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds frequently and/or up to 10 pounds constantly to move objects.
