Surgical Care Team Member - UT Health Science Center
We are looking for a skilled and experienced Physician Assistant to join our surgical care team at UT Health Science Center.
About the Role:
- Works closely with surgeons and other healthcare professionals to provide advanced medical care to patients in a surgical setting.
- Collaborates with the faculty supervising physician to manage pre-operative and post-operative patients.
- Provides guidance and instruction to patients on preventive health care or postsurgical care.
Responsibilities:
- Enters chart documentation for review and counter signature by the physician.
- Prepares and cares for supplies and equipment.
- Responds to emergency situations and performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Master's degree as Physician Assistant.
- Minimum two years of professional experience in a surgical specialty preferred.
- Exerts up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds frequently and/or up to 10 pounds constantly to move objects.
