Surgical Medical Assistant - UT Health Science Center

We're seeking an experienced Physician Assistant to join our team in a surgical setting. As a key member of our team, you'll provide advanced medical care to patients and work closely with surgeons to ensure the best possible outcomes.

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled Physician Assistant to make a real difference in the lives of our patients. You'll be responsible for conducting complex patient care procedures, assessing medical complaints and providing treatment, and performing minor surgical procedures as delegated by the supervising physician.

Your Key Responsibilities Will Include:

* Providing advanced medical care to patients in a surgical setting
* Working closely with surgeons to develop treatment plans and coordinate care
* Managing pre-operative and post-operative patients in coordination with faculty supervising physicians

To Be Successful in This Role, You'll Need:

* Current Texas licensure as a Physician Assistant
* Current certification from the National Commission of Certification of Physician Assistants
* Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or specialty required by department
