What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Professor - Pediatric Infectious Disease position at UT Southwestern Medical Center?
The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, Department of Pediatrics is seeking an outstanding individual at the Assistant Professor level to join the Pediatric Infectious Disease Division at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center and Children’s Health.
Candidates should have significant experience and formal training in the field of pediatric infectious diseases and experience in infectious diseases in the immunocompromised host (e.g., transplant recipients, children with malignancies). Clinical responsibilities will include in-patient and ambulatory management of pediatric infectious diseases and multidisciplinary integration with transplant (stem cell and solid organ) and oncology services. Independent research support would be ideal, though is not required. UTSW offers outstanding collaborative research opportunities. Candidates must be board certified or board eligible in Pediatrics and Pediatric Infectious Disease. Candidates should also be accomplished teachers in the field. Clinical activities, both in patient and outpatient, are conducted at the Children’s Health facility in Dallas, a 480 bed hospital that is the only academic health care facility in North Texas dedicated exclusively to the comprehensive care of children. Children’s Health has active programs in oncology, bone marrow and solid organ transplantation.
Applicants must be eligible for medical licensure in the state of Texas and be board eligible or certified in Pediatric Infectious Disease.
