Assistant Professor for the Department of Plastic Surgery
The Department of Plastic Surgery at The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, invites applications for a faculty physician with an interest in general Plastic Surgery. Specific duties include establishing a growing practice at the main clinic in Dallas, independently operating, and staffing of residents in major reconstructive surgical procedures. Other responsibilities include conducting outpatient clinics: participate in didactic sessions, seminars and rounds with plastic surgery residents, development of basic science and clinical research expertise and development of an academic practice.
Applicants should have leadership, collaborative, and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to make important contributions to the field of plastic surgery, as well as the flexibility to meet the needs of a large and dynamic department. Candidates must have an M.D. or M.D./Ph.D., must be board certified or board eligible in Plastic Surgery and be eligible for Texas medical licensure.
