What are the responsibilities and job description for the Faculty Position - Department of Physician Assistant Studies position at UT Southwestern Medical Center?
The Department of Physician Assistant Studies is currently seeking outstanding applicants for an academic position in the School of Health Professions at UT Southwestern Medical Center.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: Preparation and instruction of curriculum in classroom and small group settings; Participation in curriculum development and assessment;
Ongoing assessment of student performance; Student mentorship and graduate project advisement;
Active participation in the program’s ongoing self-assessment process; Active participation in student recruitment, applicant interviews and selection process; Participation in professional development activities, e.g. research, grant development, manuscript development and publications; Service on assigned departmental and institutional committees; Active participation in clinical/patient care.
Minimum Qualifications
• Graduate from an accredited PA Program
• An earned Master’s degree
• Current NCCPA certification
• Eligibility for Texas PA licensure
• Minimum 5 years of clinical/patient care experience
• 2-3 years PA education experience preferred
