What are the responsibilities and job description for the Genitourinary Oncologist position at UT Southwestern Medical Center?
The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Hematology Oncology is seeking faculty members with a focused interest in Genitourinary cancer. Position will specialize in the care and treatment of patients with genitourinary cancers. This position will cover patients in Clements University Hospital by participating in the consult service and will see patients in the Simmons Cancer Center outpatient clinic.
Applicants must have an M.D. degree or equivalent from an approved LCME medical school, and satisfactory completion of an Internal Medicine residency program from an ACGME accredited program. Candidates must be eligible for Texas medical licensure, at a minimum be board-eligible or certified in Internal Medicine and have recent experience and focused interest in the care of inpatient oncology patients and oncologic complications (including immuno-therapy). Board eligibility in Medical Oncology is preferred but not required. It is expected that the candidate will participate in clinical patient care in the hospital setting and the teaching and training of medical students, house staff and fellows.
Appointment rank will be commensurate with academic accomplishments and experience.
