What are the responsibilities and job description for the Hypothalamic Researcher position at UT Southwestern Medical Center?
The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, Department of Internal Medicine, Center for Hypothalamic Research is seeking an Assistant Professor. The position will develop independent and externally funded, as well as collaborative research programs focusing on understanding genetically-engineered mouse models, and related breeding strategies, mouse behavioral studies, histology, cell culture, and/or proteomics/lipidomics/transcriptomics/bioinformatics. Level of appointment will be commensurate with applicable experience.
Preference will be given to applicants performing “cutting-edge” research on physiology and metabolism and who have an outstanding publication record.
The position requires an M.D./Ph.D. or Ph.D., in a basic science and two to five years of postdoctoral experience in mouse physiology and metabolism, or a related specialty.
