What are the responsibilities and job description for the Interventional Pulmonologist position at UT Southwestern Medical Center?
The Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine, is seeking a full-time Pulmonary and Critical Care Specialist with a strong clinical and educational background. Clinical duties include providing and supervising patient care in ambulatory lung clinics and inpatient services, postoperative care at the University and affiliated hospitals, performing bronchoscopic procedures, and teaching of residents and subspecialty fellows. An active research program is desirable. Additionally, this role will be responsible for managing the service line as the Medical Director.
Applicant must have completed an Interventional Pulmonary Fellowship. Applicant must have an M.D. degree from an approved LCME medical school and satisfactory completion of an Internal Medicine residency and Pulmonary/Critical Care fellowship from an ACGME accredited program. Candidate must be eligible for Texas medical licensure and board certified/eligible in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Medicine, and Critical Care.
