Job Summary
Our Health System Planning team is hiring a Senior Strategy Analyst to support important growth initiatives at UT Southwestern Medical Center. The Health System Planning team plays a crucial role in the development and expansion of our healthcare programs and facilities through a blend of financial planning & analysis (FP&A) and strategic planning. While working as a Senior Strategy Analyst, you will be responsible for executing key tasks related to data analysis and financial modeling in support of business planning and program development initiatives, typically juggling a few projects concurrently in a supporting role. The Senior Strategy Analyst is a hybrid position with a clear trajectory into management and leadership positions within the Health System Planning team.

Experience and Education
Bachelor’s degree in business or healthcare administration with one (1) year strategic planning, or related experience in complex organizations. May consider additional education in lieu of experience.
Job Duties
- Participates in multi-disciplinary planning projects; scope of responsibility ranges from ownership of a single project deliverable to a discrete workstream within a complex engagement
- Demonstrates ability to perform analyses in the following domains:
- Business plans for the Hospitals and Faculty Practice departments, including on-site and off-site locations that include: Analyses supporting geographic expansion, revenue enhancement, or clinical distinction
- Market analysis to evaluate competitive landscape
- Relevant trends among important stakeholders (e.g., payer, provider, medical device, pharmaceutical, regulatory, etc…)
- Historical and projected service and provider surplus/ deficit
- Historical and projected demand for services (e.g., demographics, incidence/ prevalence of disease, top partnership needs, etc…)
- Volume and financial projections (including capital debt amortization and NPV analyses)
- Risks, mitigation factors, and key performance indicators
- Service line and/ or program enhancement analysis
- Other high-priority projects as determined by Health System Leadership
- Ad-hoc analyses for the Hospitals and Faculty Practice departments, including on-site and off-site locations
- Takes ownership of own professional development through the creation of professional development plans in consultation with the Manager
- Assists in development and management of workplans to produce deliverables and meet target deadlines
- Performs other duties as assigned
