The UT Southwestern Department of Ophthalmology is recruiting for an individual with outstanding academic and leadership skills to serve as Medical Director at Parkland Memorial Hospital (40-50% effort) and as a key member of the Department and the Faculty Practice (50-60% effort).
The successful candidate will assume an important leadership role in the Department and at Parkland, our flagship teaching hospital that recently moved to state-of-the-art new facilities adjacent to the UT Southwestern main campus. Duties as a UT Southwestern faculty member will include participation in the Faculty Practice. Salary and appointment rank will be commensurate with academic accomplishments and experience.

Applications are welcome from candidates in comprehensive ophthalmology and all ophthalmologic subspecialties. We seek an individual with an MD degree who is board certified/eligible by the American Board of Ophthalmology and who is eligible for Texas medical licensure. Successful completion of an ACGME (or equivalent) accredited residency in ophthalmology is required. An AUPO accredited fellowship is preferred for subspecialty applicants.
