The Department of Electrical Engineering in the College of Engineering, The University of Texas at Arlington, invites applications for three faculty positions at tenure-track, assistant professor level to begin in Fall 2025. Exceptional candidates at higher ranks will also be considered. We welcome candidates in strategic growth areas of Semiconductor Manufacturing, Cyberphysical and Control Systems, and Power Systems.Candidates in Semiconductor Manufacturing area are expected with significant experimental research leveraging UTA’s cleanroom user facilities.Candidates in Cyberphysical and Control Systems are expected to drive the frontier of AI agent research with a solid foundation in control systems, advancing innovations in autonomous decision-making and reinforcement learning that integrate with control actions on Cyberphysical systems.Candidates in Power Systems are expected to exhibit deep understanding for one of the major challenges in renewable integration and infrastructure resilience.We seek individuals who demonstrate exceptional potential or evidence for leading a high-impact, well-funded, research program educating PhD, MS, and BSEE students. All candidates must have a strong aptitude for effective teaching in core and specialized areas of our curriculum at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Faculty responsibilities include developing and maintaining an internationally recognized research program, effective classroom teaching, and service to the local and international professional communities.In accordance with USCIS regulations, successful applicants must be legally able to accept work in the United States.
