The primary function of the Orientation Team Intern is on-site sales and fulfillment. Executes UCCU external relationship and alliance initiatives within UVU during their Summer orientation to grow membership and increase market share. They will have monthly goals for the number of new accounts the team brings to the credit union and will be accountable to meet or exceed this goal. Enhances and maintains the Credit Union's professional image. Must possess confidence, charisma, determination, and a positive attitude. They are to maintain a strong relationship with members, UVU employees and branch credit union employees. A significant level of trust and diplomacy is required, in addition to normal courtesy, tact, and communication skills. Work involves extensive personal contact with others and is often of a personal or sensitive nature.
Essential Functions And Basic Duties
Responsible for membership growth within UVU during orientations. Creates and maintains positive relationships with members, and UVU employees.
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION: High School Education required. Marketing, sales and PR experience highly encouraged.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE: Basic knowledge of Credit Union operations, products and services preferred.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: previous experience of similar or related experience including sales with a history of consistently meeting high sales goals preferred.
SKILLS/ABILITIES: Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Well organized.
Attentive to detail.
Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
Physical Activities And Requirements Of This Position
TALKING: Especially where one must frequently convey detailed or important instructions or ideas accurately, loudly, or quickly.
AVERAGE HEARING:Able to hear average or normal conversations and receive ordinary information
REPETITIVE MOTION: Movements frequently and regularly required using the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
AVERAGE VISUAL ABILITIES: Average, ordinary, visual acuity necessary to prepare or inspect documents or products or operate machinery.
PHYSICAL STRENGTH: Must be able to stand for several hours at a time on a regular basis. Exerts up to 30 lbs. of force occasionally.

LANGUAGE ABILITY: Ability to read a variety of books, magazines, instruction manuals, atlases, and encyclopedias.
Ability to prepare memos, reports, and essays using proper punctuation, spelling and grammar.

- Bring new members to the credit union during new student orientations and other activities assigned by management. Advocate and execute activities and events intended to generate new member growth and deepen existing member relationships.
- Responsible for meeting or exceeding teams new account and production goals.
- Responsible for enhancing the image of the Credit Union. Ensures that Orientation activities create positive responses from members, prospective members, and the community at large.
