The Maintenance Associate is responsible for ensuring that the buildings are clean and orderly at all times. Is also responsible for assisting in both warehouse and transportation, as needed.
Duties:
- Maintain the cleanliness and safety of the building
- Vacuum carpets, mop floors, scrub restrooms & dusts furniture
- Empty trash/recycling cans daily
- Cleans, sanitizes and stocks restrooms
- Cleans and sanitizes break room
- Perform and document routine inspections and maintenance (ie, restroom logs)
- Carry out heavy cleaning tasks and special projects, as needed
- Notify management of occurring issues and repair needs
- Make minor repairs as requested by management
- Regularly clean break room floor; sweeping, mopping, sanitizing
- Sweeping and cleaning of vehicles, as needed
- Physical lifting, down stacking, moving of food items for warehouse and transportation
- Could ride with a driver to assist with delivery and pickups, may be assigned to an injured driver as a helper
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High school or GED completion
- Works independently and has strong time management skills
- Follows verbal and written instructions
- Handles physical demands, including standing and walking
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs on a regular basis
- Knowledge of safety guidelines when working with chemicals
- Ability to work and communicate in a courteous and professional manner with staff, volunteers and donors
- High professional and ethical standards
Physical Requirements:
The work is physical and requires standing, walking, and regularly lifting to 50 lbs. May require crouching or crawling in restricted areas, pushing and/or pulling. Will require working with cleaning chemicals on a regular basis.
