What are the responsibilities and job description for the Phone Operator Specialist position at Utah Gastroenterology PC?
Utah Gastroenterology is looking for an outgoing, responsible individual to work in a fast-paced, busy GI practice. This position involves placing, answering, and transferring patient telephone calls and providing general information for the practice. Also includes some routine clerical work, appointment scheduling, mailing out appointment instructions, scanning of documents, and other duties as assigned. Previous medical office experience preferred. This is a full-time (40 hours per week) position, Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Remote work is NOT available for this position at this time.
Spanish / English bilingual skills a plus
The ideal candidate will possess:
- HS Degree
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Strong customer service and problem solving skills
- Professional and courtesy with superb soft skills
- Able to prioritize and multi-task
- Reliable and consistent with a strong work ethic
- Capable of working both independently and in a team setting
- Computer and keyboarding skills
- Previous medical office experience preferred
