Primary Responsibilities:
- Review all OASIS and Plans of Care for accuracy prior to submission to MEDICARE
- Assigning ICD 10 codes per Coding Guidance
- Develop plans to motivate and educate physicians, RNs, and supporting staff to engage in improvement of quality care initiatives
- Review clinical documentation for compliance and engage in education of clinical staff to promote best practices, quality of care, visit utilization, ensuring CoP’s have been met.
- Reviews clinical records and provides feedback to Case Managers
- Reviews all incidents reports for completeness, risk, standards of care determination and appropriate follow-up.
Job Requirements:
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse by the State of Utah
- Associate's degree or higher level of education
- Current Utah driver’s license and automobile liability insurance
- BLS/CPR Certification
- Knowledge of federal regulations and state licensure requirements.
- Working knowledge of computer systems.
- Detail oriented and able to work with minimal supervision.
- QA experience is a plus
- 1 year of Hospice Experience preferred
- Experience with Homecare Homebase or other EMR not required but a HUGE plus
