What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director of Jazz Youth position at Utah Jazz?
The Jazz Youth Programs Director is responsible for the planning, development, and execution of Utah Jazz Youth programs. This position will be responsible for working with existing and future youth program partners and will oversee and be responsible for the day-to-day functions, budget, and execution of Junior Jazz, Jazz Camps and Clinics, Jazz Kids Club, 3v3, Jazz Bantam, and Utah Jazz Shoot 360.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversight of all aspects of the Junior Jazz program.
- Oversight of the Jazz Camps and Clinics program.
- Discover and build opportunities to work with new community partners and programs.
- Amplify and grow the Jazz Kids Club.
- Direct planning and execution of the Jazz 3v3 tournaments.
- Explore ways to amplify Jazz Youth's reach by expanding the current programs and creating new ones.
- Oversee planning and execution of Jazz Youth budget.
- Be a good teammate, contribute positively to a winning culture, and be respectful.
- Demonstrate world-class customer service and if you don’t directly interact with the customer, support those that do.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Several years of experience managing teams of people
- Excellent customer service and time management skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Polished presentation skills with the ability to communicate with large groups and clients
- Experience programming and organizing large events
- Ability to handle multiple projects and prioritize under a heavy workload
- Ability to work all home Jazz games and work irregular hours (evenings, weekends, holidays) as required
- Proficient in basic computer software programs
- Must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university is preferred
- Basketball coaching experience preferred

- This person must be able to observe, inspect, estimate, and assess.
- This person must be able to sit, stand, bend, walk, and climb stairs for long periods of time.
