What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part-Time Media Traffic Manager position at Utah Jazz?
JOB SUMMARY:
The position will play an important role in supporting the Utah Jazz and Utah Hockey Club media traffic and sales departments (Business Development & Media Sales) within Smith Entertainment Group. The right candidate will communicate well with stakeholders across multiple teams, be a strong problem-solver, a quick learner, and will have meticulous attention to detail. This unique opportunity is a seasonal position that follows the schedule of the school district in the area you live! Schedule is generally 9:30am-2:30pm Monday through Friday with all school holidays, teacher comp days, early out and/or late start days, and full summers off.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist with the daily operations of Media Traffic for Television, Radio, and Streaming broadcasts for both Utah Jazz and Utah Hockey Club games, both home and away.
- Assist with new media orders (radio, television, streaming, etc) and making adjustments to existing media logs for both Utah Jazz and Utah Hockey Club games, both home and away.
- Assist with onboarding of new media clients, ongoing media client outreach, gifting, etc.
- Coordinate with Broadcast Traffic Manager in conjunction with programing, sales, and production teams to ensure content meets all technical and programing requirements for each platform.
- Support Media Sales team with post-broadcast reporting needs for clients, including bonus reports, mid-season reports, etc.
- Quickly identify and resolve any issues related to traffic, scheduling, or content delivery and work with media team and other departments as needed to resolve issues.
- Aid project organization, creative ideation, and deck creation.
- Collaborate with the Account Executives and Directors to track, progress, and report back to the Business Development team on potential leads and events that would contribute to the success of relationships for the departments.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Experience in traffic software (eg WideOrbit, Skyview, Salesforce) preferred but not required
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment background screening

- This person must be able to observe, inspect, estimate and assess.
- This person must be able to sit, stand, bend, walk, and climb stairs for long periods of time.
- This person must be able to lift 20 lbs.
