What are the responsibilities and job description for the Legal Clinical Program Facilitator position at Utah Legal Services?
Position Summary
Day-to-day facilitator ideally located Northern Utah who will help support the community engagement team through outreach, pro bono, and legal clinics through Utah Legal Services. The primary responsibility of this position is to serve as the lead at community engagement events and oversee the day-to-day activities. They will schedule, calendar, send invites, and maintain clinic forms and materials. They will also work with clients and ensure better representation for Utahns by collecting program data, managing operations, evaluating the program, and implementing changes as needed.
Key Responsibilities
Administration
- Ensure clinic processes meet program goals and objectives.
- Help recruit legal and non-legal volunteers to support outreach, clinics, and pro bono.
- Maintain program records, monitor electronic transmissions, and track clinic cases.
- Schedule/calendar meetings, outreach events, pro bono activities, clinics, and other community engagement invites.
- Upload intake forms and opening cases in ULS’s case management system.
- Continue relationships with community organizations and the public.
- Maintain program materials to support long-term sustainability such as program manuals, onboarding materials, and contact lists.
- Create program content that educates and instructs clinic participants such as educational videos, information packets, and guidelines.
Operations
- Attend clinics as needed, and some local travel.
- Maintain day-to-day clinic operations by triaging the needs of clinic participants, recruiting volunteers, sending case information to volunteers, and informational packets to clinic participants.
- Manage the virtual clinic environment via Zoom.
- Collect, record, and maintain program data including participant outcomes, volunteer participation, demographics, number of people served, and services accessed.
- Provide program reports as directed and complete other duties as assigned.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- An entry-level degree in social work, sociology, or related field; or equivalent experience in social services or a client-facing position. Preferred but not required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work virtually and in-person.
- Fluent in Spanish. Strongly preferred.
Expected Salary: $60,00-$70,000 DOE.
