What are the responsibilities and job description for the Street Hockey Team Member position at Utah NHL?
Utah Hockey Club is seeking qualified candidates for a Part-Time position on the Utah Hockey Club Street Team for the 2024-2025 season. This position is within the Youth Programs department and will focus heavily on expanding the Utah Hockey Club brand and growing the game of hockey within the Utah community. As a member of the Street Team, be prepared to be great. We are looking for individuals who are engaging, professional, reliable, and motivated to go above and beyond. As a group, we want to build relationships and leave every fan encountered with a positive and memorable impression of the Utah Hockey Club.
*Please note that this position is strictly event-based, and hours depend on the number of events scheduled. *
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Set up, execution, and break down of a street hockey game zone, goalie challenge, stick handling race, hardest slap shot competition, and video game area.
- Positively represent and promote the Utah Hockey Club brand at youth and other community events and appearances.
- Foster a fun, safe, and professional atmosphere at Utah Hockey Club youth and other community events and appearances.
- Willingness to travel around Utah for off-site events.
- Ability to work select Utah Hockey Club home games.
- Collect and report valuable feedback and insights after each event to provide back to the team supervisors.
- Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:
- Must be 18 years old.
- Available to work flexible, non-traditional hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, for home games, and various events in the community.
- Knowledge of the game of hockey.
- Previous promotional experience is a plus: previous experience working with a professional or collegiate sports team is a plus.
- Ability to lift, maneuver and carry objects weighing up to 75lbs. frequently.
- Must complete/or have already completed SafeSport – Core Training.
- A desire to learn and work in the sports industry.
- Strong communication skills.
- Possess a professional manner while interacting with fans of all ages.
- Must be detail-oriented and be able to focus on multiple tasks at once.
- Must be able to work outside in various conditions (Heat, cold, rain, etc.)
