Description
- Provide counseling, therapy, and/or psychotherapy to clients and families.
- Prepare treatment plans, discharge plans, and follow-up care programs.
- Provide therapeutic crisis intervention, for those with serious disturbance problems or emergency services as required in alignment with, “A Guidebook of Professional Practices for Behavioral Health and Primary Care Integration.”
- Collect patient data through interview, case history, psychological tests, and/or observational techniques; evaluates data to identify causes of problems and to determine proper therapeutic approach or referral to other specialists. Keep abreast of patient data to ensure appropriate treatment and care are delivered.
- Consult with other therapists, treatment agencies and professionals in the performance of therapeutic and/or casework.
- Refer clients to appropriate service agencies, and inform them of patient rights and responsibilities.
- Provide and/or arranges patient/client therapeutic interventions in a crisis condition and for those with serious disturbance problems.
- Establish and maintain case files, referrals, and other related documents for the treatment of clients; prepare related documentation for civil commitment hearings or other legal proceedings.
- Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, or an equivalent field
- Current State of Utah Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW, CSW, ACMHC, CMHC, LFMT, or MFT) license in good standing required or license eligible.
- Knowledge of psychological testing interpretation, interviewing and psychological/developmental evaluation skills, and crisis intervention techniques.
- 2 years of experience in behavioral health or social work.
- Knowledge and understanding of clinical social work and mental health counseling principles, methods, procedures, and standards, as well as social and vocational rehabilitation.
- Experience in trauma work.
- Experience using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems such as ECW and Help2.
- Bilingual Spanish/English.
