SUMMARY
The Zions Bank Real Academy Event Operations Lead will help manage and implement, operate, and complete stadium and facility events. Events will include but will not be limited to large stadium events, camps, and other RSL and Royal team events. Additional responsibilities include oversight of Parking Staff, Event Coordinators, and Interns. Accountability is to the Senior Director of Events.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Manage large-scale events, part-time staff, and all vendors for each of their events assigned by Sr. Director of Events.
- Executes MLS Next games, Academy games, and RSL and Royal team schedules with other team/special events.
- Acquire business and execute events for third parties (i.e., corporate outings).
- Ensure client’s and league requirements are met while working closely with the Director of Operations, Ticketing, and RSL team side staff.
- Manage the service contractors to include security, medical, parking, etc. This will include billing and reporting.
- Assist in developing bid documents, requests for proposals, event estimates, and sales efforts as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- 2 years of experience in event implementation.
- 2 years managing and leading part-time staff
- Excellent people skills including verbal and written communications.
- Ability to exercise good judgement related to sensitive information and events.
- Ability to demonstrate initiative and prioritize responsibilities and work well in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work evenings and weekends to accommodate the team’s schedule and events.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Superior organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Able to pass a background check and become Safe Sport Certified.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree.
- Preference will be given to individuals with experience managing professional or collegiate sporting events.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The job requires regularly lifting/pushing up to 25 pounds and occasionally lifting/pushing more than 50 pounds or exerting heavy force, in a wide disparity or environmental conditions. The job involves standing, stooping, bending, lifting, pushing, typing, etc.
