Utah Tech University's Booth Wellness Center is seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Student Wellness and Prevention Coordinator to join our dynamic team for the 2025-26 year. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual passionate about student well-being to make a tangible impact on the physical, emotional, and mental health of our student body. As a key member of the wellness office, you will play a critical role in developing, implementing, and evaluating wellness programs that foster a healthy campus community.

- Promote Student Well-Being: Engage with students through meaningful interactions, promoting awareness and participation in wellness programs and evaluating their effectiveness.
- Program Development and Facilitation: Design and facilitate educational programs such as workshops, special events, and interactive booths to engage students in wellness topics and initiatives such as healthy eating, combating loneliness, harm reduction behaviors regarding substance use, etc.
- Suicide Prevention: Coordinate and facilitate the development, implementation and evaluation of a Suicide Prevention Program.
- Wellness Engagement: Increase participation in wellness programs, including but not limited to onsite biometric screenings, mental health support, and nutrition workshops.
- Promotional Outreach: Assist in developing and distributing wellness promotional materials to inform the campus community about ongoing programs and initiatives.
- Fitness and Wellness Testing: Oversee the coordination of fitness and wellness assessments, ensuring smooth execution, follow-up and referral.
- Policy Advocacy: Support the development and implementation of well-being policies on campus (e.g., suicide prevention, harm reduction strategies, healthy eating initiatives).
- Collaborative Partnerships: Work with the Healthy Trailblazer Coalition and other campus partners to promote wellness on campus.
- Coordination with Campus Recreation: Partner with the Campus Recreation team to create wellness offerings.
- Event Support and Programming: Assist with wellness events, collaborate with campus departments to facilitate departmental wellness initiatives, and develop new programming as needed.
- Coalition and Grant Oversite: Oversee the Healthy Trailblazers, a campus-based student prevention coalition, by facilitating partnerships, coordinating activities, and ensuring comprehensive reporting of coalition-building efforts. Assist with data collection and program assessment, including tracking and analyzing methods to measure program outcomes and outputs. Manage existing Coalition grants to ensure effective implementation and accountability.
- Additional Duties: Perform other related duties as assigned to support the goals of the Booth Wellness Center and campus wellness initiatives.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Health Education, Public Health, Wellness, or related discipline) required.
- Experience in wellness program development, event coordination, or student engagement is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organization skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Understanding of wellness and prevention topics, including mental health, nutrition, physical fitness, and stress management.
- Familiarity with social media platforms and strategies for wellness outreach is a plus.
