Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our team. Duties
- Assist veterinarians during examinations and surgical procedures by preparing instruments and ensuring aseptic technique is maintained.
- Monitor animal patients pre- and post-operatively, providing critical care as needed.
- Perform laboratory tests, including blood work, urinalysis, and fecal examinations.
- Provide proper animal husbandry, ensuring that all animals are housed in clean, safe environments.
- Assist with equine care as required, including handling and restraint techniques.
- Engage in pet grooming tasks to maintain the hygiene and appearance of animals.
- Educate pet owners on proper pet care practices, including nutrition, training, and health maintenance.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation for each patient visit.
- Exhibit knowledge of animal anatomy to assist in diagnostics and treatment plans.
- Utilize effective animal restraint techniques to ensure safety for both staff and animals during procedures.
Experience
Candidates should possess prior experience or training in veterinary technology or a related field. Familiarity with the following skills will be considered advantageous:
