Position Summary/Objective
Reviews engineering drawings and convert drawings to CNC programs using CADCam software. Works closely with machinist on floor to optimist part production.
Essential Functions

- Create CNC programs for machinist to be used in CNC lathes and mills.
- Design tooling to machine plastic parts
- Optimize part production through process improvement.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by department manager.
- Must follow all company safety procedures.
- Housekeeping as it applies to your job or area.
Requirements
- Must have experience in MasterCam
- Must have ability to read part prints and design tooling from same.
- Must have CNC programming experience
- Must have knowledge of computer technology and standard drafting procedures.
- Must have basic data entry skills.
- Must have basic mechanical skills.
- Must be skilled in mathematics.
- Must have average reading and writing skills.
- Must have ability to visually inspect material.
- Must have the ability to read tools of linear measurement.
- Machinist experience is a plus
- AutoCad and SolidWorks experience a plus
Required Education And Experience
- Minimum High school diploma or GED Certification.
- 4 Years of work-related experience
WORK ENVIRONMENT
This job operates in an office and manufacturing environment. This role routinely uses tools and other
such equipment during the course of the job duties. Provided Personal Protective Equipment, as well as steel-toed boots or shoes, must be worn at all times.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Moderate walking and climbing
- Physically able to conduct inspections and carry equipment used for inspections
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to, stand, sit, bend; and stoop
- Regular, predictable attendance is required
POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK
This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday.
Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
