Postdoctoral Research Fellow Position in Pancreatic Islet Biology, 

Institute of Molecular Medicine – Islet Biology

A Postdoctoral Fellow position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Aaron Cox to study the molecular and transcriptional mechanisms regulating beta cell proliferation and mitochondrial metabolism. We are seeking candidates who are highly motivated, detail-oriented, collaborative, and have excellent writing and verbal communication skills to join our research team. Individuals with experience in islet biology, animal physiology, molecular and cell biology are desired. The ideal candidates should be skilled in handling animals, working with pancreatic islets, mouse genetics, microscopy, and basic cell culture methods. Additional experience in transcriptomics, metabolomics, or bioinformatics are desirable, but not required. A recent PhD in biology or a related field is required. Additional projects in the laboratory are centered on delta cell function, islet paracrine signaling, and stem cell-derived islet generation.

Position Summary:

A biomedical postdoc position provides an opportunity for early-career researchers to gain valuable experience, develop independent research skills, and contribute to the advancement of scientific knowledge in their field of expertise.

Position Key Accountabilities:
