Position Summary:
UTHealth Houston is looking for someone with research experience to become an Institutional Review Board Coordinator. You will assist a Research Director in overseeing the operational issues necessary to ensure the timely and accurate processing of protocol submissions to the Committee for the Protection of Human Subjects (CPHS) to ensure the office addresses the daily needs of the CPHS and investigators. We are simply looking for someone with research experience to fill this role. You could be a research assistant, a research coordinator, or a research nurse.

Position Key Accountabilities:
Certification/Skills:
Certified IRB Professional (CIP) certification preferred.
Familiarity with medical terminology and Federal and State regulations is preferred.
Minimum Education:
Bachelor’s degree in appropriate discipline.
Minimum Experience:
Three (3) years of related experience. May substitute required experience with equivalent years of education beyond the minimum education requirement.
Physical Requirements:
Exerts up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds frequently and/or a negligible amount constantly to move objects.
Security Sensitive:
This job class may contain positions that are security sensitive and thereby subject to the provisions of Texas Education Code § 51.215
Residency Requirement:
Employees must permanently reside and work in the State of Texas.
