We are seeking a Full-Time Research Assistant to join the UTHealth School of Public Health - El Paso Regional Campus. In this position, you will work under the direction of the Research Coordinator and Clinic Facilitator charged with implementing a randomized controlled trial testing facilitator-driven implementation strategies in Federally Qualified Health Centers in Texas. You'll support research activities, trainings, and provide technical support to the clinical practices participating. We seek to hire an experienced individual who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and passionate about providing the support needed to implement the study intervention and improve HPV vaccination uptake.
This position offers a hybrid schedule with the flexibility of remote and in-office work at UTHealth Houston, El Paso Regional Campus (5130 Gtwy Blvd E, El Paso, TX 79905). This position requires reliable transportation to drive to local study sites in El Paso. Additionally, the candidate must be able to fly to other study sites in Houston, Galveston, and San Antonio as needed (travel is covered).

Position Key Accountabilities:
- Conducts assessments of current clinical processes and assist with reporting findings.
- Maintains records and documentation required related to areas of responsibility; and reviews documentation to ensure compliance with applicable requirements.
- Prepares reports and assures appropriate tracking of program participants.
- Assists with coordination and management of a provider and staff education program in order to ensure the achievement of its assigned goals and objectives.
- Schedules deliveries of teaching aids, materials, and other necessary education tools in a timely manner to ensure the desired educational and training services.
- Coordinates ongoing continuous improvement efforts related to areas of responsibility noted above.
- Communicates on-going metrics, areas of success, opportunities for improvement, and recommended plans of action to project leadership.
- Assists in the preparation and writing of research reports, manuscripts, papers and grant proposals for presentation and publication.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Certification/Skills:
- General knowledge of research fields.
- Bilingual (English/ Spanish) is highly preferred.
Minimum Education:
- Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience in lieu of education.
Minimum Experience:
- Previous experience in Public Health, working with marginalized communities, and/or familiarity with data collection methods is highly preferred, but not required.
Physical Requirements:
Exerts up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds constantly and/or a negligible amount constantly to move objects.
This position may include work involving potentially hazardous chemical, biological or radioactive agents.
