The Division of Hematology & Medical Oncology in the Department of Medicine, and the UT Health San Antonio MD Anderson Cancer Center at the Joe R. & Teresa Lozano Long School of Medicine are seeking to hire a Medical Director. The Medical Director will oversee the Stem Cell Transplant and Cellular Therapy Program. This includes the oversight of quality and safety, all clinical operations, and strategic growth of clinical Stem Cell Transplant and Cellular Therapy Program activities locally and regionally, and professional workforce management ensuring that the Center has the right providers in the right locations. The Medical Director will be a skilled faculty physician and / or physician-investigator, with a strong track record of collaboration and patient-focused care. The candidate must be a respected leader who is operationally savvy with an innovative vision. Leading the Stem Cell and Cellular Therapy program, the Medical Director will strategically collaborate on multiple levels and with an eye towards interprofessional excellence. An emphasis on programmatic development, as well as quality and safety, are significant focus areas for the new Medical Director. Strategically recruiting, retaining, and developing multidisciplinary teams will also be a top priority.

We expect that this individual will hold an academic appointment in the Department of Medicine. This is a non-tenure track position but is open rank.
