Route Driver/Merchandiser

As a Route Delivery Driver/Merchandiser you will work in grocery stores, convenience stores, restaurants and small shops to maintain the stock and promotion of all Utica Coffee-related products. You will ensure inventory and stock rotation takes place regularly. As a merchandiser, you must take pride in presenting a good company image.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• General knowledge of delivery / merchandising / warehouse operations
• Must be friendly and able to build relationships with managers and associates at the store level
• Must have strong organization and communication skills
• Must have good legible writing, and basic math skills
• Must be able and willing to multi-task effectively with interruptions
• Lift 40 pounds repeatedly / sometimes more
• Route hours may start as early as 5:00am, with an average 7.5-hour shifts
• Route may have availability on Saturdays
• Maintains a professional appearance and a clean delivery vehicle (Utica Coffee Provided) while adhering to all traffic laws
• Perform additional job duties as required

Job Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Previous merchandising experience in a sales, grocery or retail environment preferred, training provided
• Ability to operate a manual or automated floor jack preferred
• Ability to effectively communicate and present information
• Excellent Customer Service Skills
• Valid driver’s license (non-CDL)
• Three (3) years of acceptable driving history. Must provide MVR to verify driving record.

• Regularly required to handle, feel and reach with hands and arms
• Frequently required to stand, walk; climb or balance; regularly must stoop, kneel, crouch, and/or crawl
• Regularly required to get in and out of a vehicle
• Must be able to frequently lift 40 pounds
• Occasionally push or pull up to 100 pounds using a rolling pallet or similar equipment, often up or down a slight incline or ramp

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week
