Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Laundry Attendant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all linens, towels, and garments are laundered and presented to the highest standards. This role is crucial in maintaining the cleanliness and quality of our laundry services, particularly in a hotel environment.
Responsibilities
- Launder and clean various items including linens, towels, and guest clothing with attention to detail.
- Operate washing machines and dryers efficiently, ensuring proper settings for different fabric types.
- Sort, fold, and organize clean laundry items for easy distribution.
- Handle dry cleaning processes as needed, following specific care instructions.
- Maintain cleanliness of the laundry area, ensuring all equipment is in good working order.
- Report any maintenance issues or equipment malfunctions to management promptly.
- Assist in inventory management of laundry supplies and notify management when stock is low.
Experience
- Previous experience in a laundry or housekeeping role is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with laundering techniques and dry cleaning processes is a plus.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills are essential.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
