What you will do

• Under supervision, responsible to perform accounting functions within Oracle such as, preparing journal entries/ tax returns and supporting/completing account reconciliations timely (Expenses, Revenue, Losses etc..) through analysis of information related to the various inputs of the general ledger.
• Works with Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable departments on monthly accruals needed for monthly financial statements and researches problems or processing errors. Reconciles accounts and completes reports as needed.
• Assists in providing information to both internal & external auditors, and supports “compliance analysis” as required (banking, taxing agencies, insurance, etc.). Collaborates with Agency departments daily.
• Maintains accounting processes in conformity with all existing corporate policies and procedures.
• As it relates to statutory accounting, assists with the preparation of quarterly and yearly financial reporting including NAIC filling if necessary.
• Assists Controller and Accounting, Reinsurance and Tax teams with financial analyzes and had hoc work.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Conforms with all corporate policies and procedures.

What you need:

Education: Bachelor's Degree preferred; Equivalent work experience with a mid-market or large company ERP a plus. Insurance coursework is a plus; IIA General Insurance Series, helpful.

Experience: Less than 2 years; Basic understanding of business requirements and statutory accounting, preferred.

Salary Range: $54,100-$81,200

The final salary to be paid and position within the internal salary range will take into consideration the individual’s work experience, geographic location, education, certification(s) or additional qualifications, and scope and responsibilities within the role.
