Description
We are seeking a Commercial Lines Underwriter to join our team at Utica National Insurance Group. As an underwriter, you will be responsible for evaluating risks and determining appropriate coverage for commercial insurance policies.
You will work closely with our agency partners to ensure that our insureds receive the best possible service and that our book of business is profitable. This role requires strong analytical and decision-making skills, as well as excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, and a minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial lines middle market underwriting. You will also need to have a strong knowledge of general liability, worker's compensation, property, and commercial auto lines of business.
The ideal candidate will be proactive, resourceful, and customer-focused, with a proven track record of successful underwriting and portfolio management in the middle market segment.
This is a full-time salaried position, exempt from overtime, located in New Jersey/Eastern PA, with a salary range of $84,600 - $126,800, plus bonus eligibility.
