What will you Do
We are seeking an experienced HVAC Mechanic to join our Facilities team. This role is responsible for performing maintenance, repairs, and upgrades to heating, ventilating, air conditioning, electrical, and plumbing systems. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical knowledge, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to manage projects and preventative maintenance tasks while ensuring adherence to safety and security policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintenance & Repairs: Perform maintenance and service repairs on HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems.
- Installation: Install new units or replacement parts according to specifications and safety guidelines.
- Project Scoping: Present scope of work and budget information for HVAC, electrical, and plumbing upgrades and repairs.
- Preventative Maintenance: Create, present, and perform detailed preventative maintenance functions and schedules.
- Monitoring & Compliance: Monitor facilities team and contractors to ensure safety and security policies are followed.
- Collaboration: Work alongside facilities team members, vendors, consultants, and contractors on building system repairs and projects.
- Evaluation & Recommendations: Examine HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and infrastructure systems and recommend upgrades and repairs.
- Technical Guidance: Provide consultation to the facilities team on HVAC, electrical, and plumbing maintenance and repairs.
- Energy Efficiency: Utilize skills in energy efficiency to deploy cost-effective upgrades.
- Professional Development: Maintain technical knowledge through educational workshops, reviewing publications, and networking.
- On-Call Duties: Be available 24/7 for building operations issues and provide shift coverage when necessary.
- Additional Duties: Perform other assigned duties and conform with all corporate policies and procedures.
What Will You need
- Education: Minimum 2-year degree in HVAC trade-related program or approved HVAC Certification or equivalent experience
- Experience: 5–10 years of demonstrated experience in the HVAC profession preferred
Salary Range: $45,000 – $70,000
The final salary to be paid and position within the internal salary range is reflective of the employee’s work experience, geographic location, education, certification(s), scope and responsibilities in the role, and additional qualifications.
