Position Summary
This position is accountable for establishing IRA accounts and related services and transactions, handling member contact, and ensuring all IRA rules and regulations are followed. This position will also be responsible for performing daily clerical tasks and other duties within Deposit Services.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain a working knowledge of regulations applicable to IRA and HSA services, including beneficiary IRAs, re-characterizations, and excess contributions.
- Serve as primary contact for all members and Call Center inquiries related to IRAs and HSAs. Respond to all IRA and HSA related inquiries via mail, phone, or fact-to-face in a timely matter.
- Establish IRA and HSA accounts on host system.
- Process transactions related to IRA and HSA accounts including rollovers and withdrawals.
- Prepare correspondence related to IRA and HSA accounts to and on behalf of members.
- Respond to member inquiries via mail, phone, or fact-to-face relating to IRA and HSA accounts.
- Ensure all Required Minimum Distributions are distributed accurately.
- Scan and file IRA and HSA documents.
- Process mobile deposits.
- Assist with processing returned paper statements.
- Assist with processing incoming and outgoing mail items.
- Serve as primary back-up for Institution Settlement.
- Serve as primary back-up for Checking Settlement.
- Serve as primary back-up for the Escheat process ensuring accurate rendering of letters and preparation of funds escheated to the state per regulations. Maintain a working knowledge of current regulations related to escheat.
- Perform other back-up duties within Deposit Services as assigned.
- Process returned e-statements or e-forms.
- Prepare withdrawal requests, letters, and other items for mailing.
- Respond to inquiries from both internal and external members within given timeframes and within established policy.
- Maintain current and accurate documented procedures for all tasks related to Deposit Services.
- Maintain knowledge of and comply with established operating policies and procedures to maintain adequate controls and to support the Credit Union's adherence to outside regulatory requirements.
- Responsible for ensuring that all responsibilities of this position are performed in compliance with provisions of the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), USA PATRIOT Act, and all other applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations.

Education and Experience:
- High school graduate with business and computer courses desirable.
- Minimum experience of three years with a financial institution in new account and/or IRA deposit operations.
- Experience with IRA accounts preferred.
