What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Control / Special Projects Lead position at Utilities & Industries?
The Quality Control Supervisor is responsible for tracking, evaluating, and implementing process improvements to minimize waste and maximize quality and establishing effective quality control and safety programs.
Primary duties and responsibilities:
· Monitor daily operations and processes for quality issues
· Provide training and education to staff as necessary, as well as assist in training new employees or re-training employees is repetitive issues arise
· Perform continuous rounds and spot-checking meters throughout process
Production:
· Motivate and engage employees to meet quality goals and target goal of meters per day.
· Identify any quality issues on the production line and present a solution to Supervisor
· Making sure the correct meters are being prioritized down the line.
· Overseeing special projects as they come in
Inventory:
· Verifying the employees are properly documenting and charging for billable parts beings used during the repair
· Assist in annual inventory process
Reporting and Administrative:
· Assist in employee evaluations and performance reviews
· Develop procedure manuals for the different work departments and work stations
· Keep record of total rework and track its progression through the re-testing processes
· Keep record of what re-work issues were found and the solutions used to address each issue
· Assist in updating stations “to-do” lists if needed
