We are seeking an experienced and motivated Industrial Equipment Technician/Mechanic for INJECTION MOLDING to join our team! You will maintain and repair industrial production and processing machinery. This is a hands-on role, perfect for someone with a strong background in maintaining and troubleshooting injection molding machines and auxiliary equipment. In this small operation, you’ll have the autonomy to independently diagnose, prioritize, repair, and maintain equipment, as well as handle some light building maintenance. This is not a management position.

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Industrial Equipment Technician/Mechanic for INJECTION MOLDING to join our team! You will maintain and repair industrial production and processing machinery. This is a hands-on role, perfect for someone with a strong background in maintaining and troubleshooting injection molding machines and auxiliary equipment. In this small operation, you’ll have the autonomy to independently diagnose, prioritize, repair, and maintain equipment, as well as handle some light building maintenance. Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on injection molding machines and auxiliary equipment, including dryers, granulators, conveyors, ovens, cyclones, and loaders.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical, electrical, electronic, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues, including addressing oil leaks.
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to identify and implement machine performance improvements.
- Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance to maximize equipment uptime and extend its lifespan.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities using a computer-based maintenance system.
- Perform basic building maintenance tasks, such as A/C filter and condensate line maintenance, light bulb and ballast replacement, water filter changes, and minor system repairs.
- Hands-on experience with injection molding machines and auxiliary equipment maintenance.
- Strong troubleshooting skills with mechanical, electrical, electronic, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
- Effective problem-solving and communication skills.
- Self-starter who works well independently.
- Physical ability to perform tasks such as lifting up to 50 lbs, bending, kneeling, climbing, and crawling.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certifications in injection molding, manufacturing, or a related field is a plus.
- Apprenticeship program experience (civilian or military) is highly valued but not required.
- Preferred Experience:
- Injection molding: 3-5 years
- Mechanical, electrical, electronic, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems: 3-5 years
- PLC troubleshooting or programming experience is a plus but not required.
