We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Construction Manager in the Utility/Power field to oversee and coordinate construction projects from inception to completion. This role requires effective project coordination and the ability to manage multiple tasks while ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage construction projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Utilize construction management software for project tracking and reporting.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project specifications are met.
- Develop and maintain project schedules using effective project scheduling techniques.
- Oversee the preparation of construction estimates and budgets, ensuring accuracy in cost projections.
- Implement safety protocols and ensure compliance with local regulations throughout the construction process.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and address any issues that arise.
- Facilitate communication among team members to ensure smooth project execution.
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction management or a related field.
- Proficiency in construction estimating and familiarity with Civil 3D software is preferred.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent project coordination skills with a focus on detail-oriented execution.
- Familiarity with various construction management software tools is essential.
- Ability to build strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and team members.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure.
- A degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory or years of experience in the utility trades. Prefer retired utility person
