Location: Based in downtown Orlando, FL. We travel to various outdoor locations throughout Florida in the company vehicle to perform on-site dielectric testing and ANSI annual inspections on mobile elevating work platforms (MEWPs).

Job Overview
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Field Technician to join our team. This role involves performing dielectric tests and annual inspections on utility equipment. While no prior experience is required, priority will be given to candidates with experience in utilities, equipment inspections, lineman work, heavy machinery operation, or construction.
Additionally, we prefer candidates located near College Park, Orlando, or Winter Park for ease of travel to job sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Pre-Test Preparation: Assist the operating technician with equipment setup, including guiding the unit to the testing location, recording mileage, and checking for safety equipment.
- Equipment Inspections: Perform pre-test inspections of the unit, including a 360-degree walk-around to check lights, tires, and other components.
- Dielectric Testing: Conduct dielectric tests on bucket liners, upper booms, and lower booms following detailed procedures. Record results accurately on the company’s iPad application.
- Post-Test Procedures: Ensure equipment labels are created and placed correctly, raise outriggers, and assist in moving equipment.
- Reporting and Documentation: Complete all UEC reports using InspectAll on the company iPad, ensuring thorough and accurate documentation.
- Customer Interaction: Present a professional appearance, maintain good hygiene, and demonstrate excellent customer service.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Willingness to learn and undergo training.
- Flexibility to work varying hours and some weekends.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic mechanical skills and familiarity with using tools.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Pay & Benefits
- $20/hour for the first 90 days
- Paid overtime (time ½)
- W2 employee status
- After reaching 90 days, eligible for 60% medical benefits
- Three certifications/classes will be required after 90 days, with a pay increase after each is completed, finishing at a rate of $25/hour. UEC will pay for your certifications.
