Job Summary: Ability to perform all phases of repairs and modifications to semi-trailer refrigeration units while leading and implementing ideas, a growth plan, and establishing processes within the refrigeration repair services.

Essential Duties:
- Diagnose complex mechanical, refrigerant, and electrical problems related to all refrigeration systems including engine, cooling, heating, and on-board computer modules.
- Perform repairs on starting and charging system, complex cooling, and electrical including common fault codes. Perform leak detection procedures, evaporator/condenser replacements, compressor seal, rear main, and front main engine seal replacements.
- Perform preventative maintenance on refrigeration units in accordance with manufacturer’s specifications.
- Identify and obtain necessary replacement parts as needed to execute repairs.
- Provide customers with accurate repair estimates and expected completion times.
- Must be consistently capable of independently analyzing and safely resolving problems.
- Must have schedule flexibility to respond and coordinate after-hour service calls.
- Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or GED
- 5-plus years’ experience working on refrigeration and A/C Units in the transportation industry.
- EPA 608, Type II required, Universal preferred.
- Thermo King and Carrier Schooling preferred and repair experience required.
- Experience with multiple types of high-pressure freon.
Physical Environments:
- Noise levels are moderate to high at times.
- Physical exertion is moderate to heavy; must be able to occasionally lift/move up to 100 pounds.
- The employee must be capable of continuously climbing up and down into a truck/trailer.
