Underground Distribution Foreperson
We are currently seeking an Underground Distribution Foreperson to join our Utility Lines Construction Services, Inc. team in the Underground Distribution Construction and Maintenance Department to supervise the crew while work is being performed.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
- Manage the proper administration of crew training, disciplinary action, work production, adherence to safety practices, and interpretation of policies.
- Responsible for the job briefing of the crew on work tasks and the hazards associated with the job.
- Provide daily communication with the client’s representatives.
- Directs the crewmembers on specific job tasks.
- Enforces safety practices and obtains permission from property owners to perform work.
- Responsible for the maintenance and accuracy of records.
- Receives and interprets orders by the General Foreperson & coordinator of utilities.
- Directs emergency situations and assists with accident reports and incident investigations.
- Responsible for job cost control.
- Responsible for inspections, proper working conditions, and necessary repairs to tools and equipment.
- Assists with field training to crew members on new equipment.
- Confers with customers, property owners, the public, other contractors, and representatives of utilities and governmental agencies.
- Operates the equipment used in excavating, backfilling, lifting, and other construction tasks.
- Assists with service calls concerning power outages and electrical problems.
- Participates in company training of all regional safety guidelines and is required to perform all work by the regional safety policies.
- Operates various tools for the work (manual digging devices, wrenches, hammers, saws, jackhammers).
- All other duties as required or requested by Supervisors.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Knowledge of 3-phase Underground Switching and pothead termination.

Ability to:
- Follow directions, and work safely & productively.
- Problem-solve with unidentified circumstances on any job.
- identify, operate and service all required tools and equipment. (i.e., bucket truck, digger derrick truck, tensioners, puller, rollers, hand tamp, chain saw, concrete saw, shovel)
Education & Experience
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in the underground utility industry.
Pre-Screen
- Upon offer, employees may be required to complete and pass a pre-employment drug screen, background, and/or MVR check.
License & Certifications:
- A valid commercial driver's license (CDL) is required.
Travel Requirements:
- Willing to travel out of state for emergency storm work.
Physical Requirements:
- RARE (less than 10%): Crawling, Climbing, Climbing Stairs, Reaching.
- OCCASIONAL (up to 33%): Stooping, Kneeling, Squatting, Body Twisting, Sense of Touch, Range of Motion, Climbing Ladders, Balancing.
- FREQUENT (up to 66 %): Walking, Manual Dexterity, Seeing Distant, Climbing On/Off Truck, Reading, Gripping, Lifting Over 10 lbs. up to 50 lbs., Lifting, Carrying, Pushing, Lifting up to 50 lbs., Pulling.
- CONTINUOUS (up to 100%): Standing, Speaking Clearly, Sitting, Seeing, Hearing-Speech Range, Depth Perception, Color Vision, Lifting Up to 10 lbs.
