Warehouse Associates
Utility Partners of America (UPA) is seeking highly motivated and safety-conscious individuals to join its team. We are looking for Warehouse Associates for our warehouse in the Schenectady, NY area. This is a great opportunity to learn a trade and join a growing company with full benefits.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- Must consent to a drug test, background check and motor vehicle records check
- Forklift experience required
- Shipping yard experience a plus
- Excellent attendance record required.
- Able to bend, stoop, stand on constant basis and lift 75 lbs.
- Ability to effectively communicate with co-workers.
- Ability to organize and prioritize job tasks and requirements.
- General knowledge of pipe, electrical, and batch process is preferred.
- Able to work overtime as needed.
- Must have a flexible evening schedule.
- Ability to work in and maneuver in cramped spaces.
- Ability to work in hot and cold weather.
SUMMARY OF KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Recycling and reconditioning of various materials and tools.
- Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code
- Receives incoming material/tools to the warehouse accurately and promptly.
- Other warehouse duties as assigned.
- Loads, unloads, moves, stacks and stages products and materials using a forklift or other power equipment
- Assists with physical inventories and cycle counts.
- Assists in distribution center/warehouse cleanup as required
- Maintains and cleans warehouse equipment.
