This role is ideal for a driven sales professional with 3 to 5 years of successful sales experience who is ready to step into a leadership position and grow alongside the company. The Sales Manager will play a critical role in managing day-to-day sales activities, fostering growth in both inside and outside sales, and uncovering new business opportunities. As the face of our outside sales efforts, the Sales Manager will build and maintain strong client relationships, identify market opportunities, and drive revenue growth.
This is a hands-on leadership role that requires knocking on doors, meeting with customers, and motivating a small team of inside sales professionals.

Having an established network or Rolodex of past customers in these sectors would be a significant advantage. Experience navigating government opportunities and Requests for Quotes (RFQs), particularly with organizations like IDOT and the City of Chicago, is also a strong plus.
Key Responsibilities
- Sales Leadership
- Manage and mentor a small team of inside sales representatives to ensure high performance.
- Be the primary driver of outside sales efforts, actively engaging with clients and prospects in the field.
- Business Development
- Identify and pursue new market opportunities within the underground construction, power, telecom, water, and sewer industries.
- Leverage existing relationships and build new ones with contractors, municipal entities, and other key stakeholders.
- Pursue government contracts and navigate the RFQ process to secure opportunities with organizations like IDOT, the City of Chicago, and other public agencies.
- Represent the company at trade shows, industry events, and client meetings.
- Customer Relationship Management
- Ensure exceptional customer service by understanding client needs and delivering tailored solutions.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for major accounts and escalate issues when necessary.
- Operational Excellence
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline sales processes and improve efficiency.
- Maintain accurate sales records and reports using CRM tools.
- Monitor market trends and provide feedback to the product and operations teams.
